Baby Culin #2. Due November 21, 2010. I am feeling very sick, but excited about the first trimester being over soon. We are already anticipating Judah having a hard time not getting all of our attention, but I am so excited for the new addition God is forming for us to love.

these things are brilliant! They only color on the special paper. This I know from experience, because had they been real markers there would be fun all over my walls and floors and furniture. He is getting so big. He loves to put the caps on and take them off, over and, over, and over.

This is just a little glimpse into my fun. Trying to wrap presents and I see this. He pushed this box over to the table because he wanted to get into the presents that I was wrapping. He actually fell off of it the first time, cried and was comforted. Then moved the box again and this is Jude caught in the act (the crying is still from the first time he fell off).

Our tree is decorated from the middle up :)

because someone likes to pull off the ornaments and eat the lights.
I know this one is blurry, but it is a great illustration of how Jude acts when I bring out the camera. Our camera is a "tough" camera, so you can drop it and submerge it in water. So we have let him chew on it and play with it, so whenever I bring out the camera he just gets this big grin and runs toward me.... 'give me my toy mom.'

First we said goodbye to Georgia....

and we moved in with my parents for 2 weeks. Jude had lots of fun at the park,
he was not to sure about the grass, but he loved to eat the bark. :/

We have arrived back to california. Jude was a little cranky on the plane because it was bedtime and they kept making announcements and turning the lights on. We are living with my mom for now... until our stiff gets here, then we will move to garden grove to start James' new job. This is what we woke up to this morning. Lazy morning with mommy and Jude. Everyone else was asleep, so we stepped out to the am Florida heat.

Then we all headed down to the beach. Jude and daddy sat in the shade while the rest of us went swimming and snorkeling to look at all the fish.

This is when she cane to Atlanta and got to meet Jude last February. She has been such a sweet and faithful friend. She is not only faithful to us, but also to the Dodgers! They are playing the Braves this weekend, so she jumped on a plane and came to see us.

The one thing I wanted God to give my baby was those sweet almond shaped eyes. My side of the family says that hi eyes look Asian, but James' family says that he doesn't :).

We can see the first tooth!!!
Hopefully that means we will be going back to our normal sleeping schedule, but I am not going to count on it.

He is even standing on his own for about 6 seconds, then he plops down to the floor. Sometimes I just look at him and have a hard time remembering my tiny 6 lb peanut. Last week at the Doctors he weighed 16lbs and 4oz!!!! What a chunk, ha? I was surprised that he was only in the 25th percentile though. All is well. I am just thankful to the Lord for a healthy baby.

Don't worry there were no babies injured in the making of this next picture. Notice Daddy's hand ready for the catch :)

I work around so much sorrow associated with health concerns, it makes me very thankful for my health and the health of my family.

4th of July

Here's our forth of july. We started the day watching our friends kids while they ran a 6 mile course. Then we went to the pool and later the whole family came back and had traditional 4th of July food...Korean BBQ ribs! The Statham's brought over a fruit triffle thing. So Yummy as you can see James devour it. Then we popped a few fireworks and called it a night...(for the Culin Family...the Stathams went to see the fireworks at Indian Hills). Pretty good day.

We love to meet all the new people and see the nice doctor, and wear the fun gown,

but we really don't like the shots. I didn't either! I am not sure who it is harder for, he will not remember it, but I will :/.

He did so good!! He just didn't like being held down. The rest of the day he kept playing with the band-aids and looking up at me like, "Mom, what's that on my legs?"

We went to our community pool last weekend with the Stathams :). Here is my naked boys in the parking lot getting ready to swim.

Well we did something that I am almost regretting. This is the after photo. We decided that we had been to the pool a few times and Jude was really liking it, so lets just try a quick dunk.
He hated it. He came right up crying, with the lip and everything.
I feel like a horrible parent, but I know that it did not hurt him and he will not remember it at all.
So we are just going to wait a while to try it again.

but while we were gone we hit another milestone. Judah got his first taste of semi-solid foods. He loved it! This is his first taste of peas.

My brother is married!!!!
It is so weird, and I think it is weird because I was such a big part of both of my sisters weddings. It turned out very well and we had a great time introducing Jude to his whole family.

He did look cute if I do say so myself.

And right now James is at home all by himself, Jude and I are coming home tomorrow. We miss you Daddy. I will miss my sweet Cali. See you again in December. Now it is your turn my family to come and see us.

It was a long night

so we did a lot of napping today. I slept for 2 1/2 hours together :). It was amazing.
Well this is how it went. For the past few nights Jude has been getting 2 hours of sleep then he wakes up and is not able to put himself back to sleep because I have such a hard time letting him cry. So, I had made a monster. After a few nights last week of getting up every two hours Mommy and Daddy decided that this weekend was the time to adjust all the bad habits we had created. I really have a hard time letting my sweet baby cry, so I cried with him. It took 2 hours to get him back to sleep last night, but we did it. Lets hope tonight goes a little better.

Back to the Grind

I am working in the morning, which means I get to see my friend and elevate myself from baby talk, but I am leaving my baby.

Tonight I am reflecting on our time in California because I am sure that my sweet co-workers are going to be asking all about it. We had a great time! I am glad to be home and in our routine again. I am glad to be sleeping in my own bed. But I miss my family.

We arrived in Ontario and Judah was all smiles.

But the smiles quickly changed to tears and another bed and a different room to try to get used to sleeping in. Poor little grumpy baby. That must be what happens when you do not sleep at night.
Last night was a little better, so today he is playing with Nana and having a good time. Seems like we all love being home :)

Everyone got involved in giving Judah a bath. We love spending time with our family. It is a good thing that Jude is not shy with being naked :)

So last weekend we were in Pismo Beach for Holly and Douglas' Wedding. James did a great job! It was so beautiful and even relaxing for me because my mother-in-law InCha had the baby for the evening :).

I know they say that all brides are beautiful, but (aside from my sister and myself of course) she was the most beautiful bride! I can't wait to frame this one.

The reception looked like it was right out of Martha Stewart Weddings.

Then we went to see James' family. This is Jude's Great Grandma. He is in his new sling from Korea :). It is called an agabong. Cute Ha!

we got to see our family. THis is Arriel. She is James' cousin. So she is Judes' 2nd cousin? first cousin once removed? She is family :). Funny fact: She and Jude have the same size hands and feet. He is 4 months and she is 13 months old.

Then we went swimming in the lukewarm spa. He loves swimming and can't wait to swim at Great Grandma Barb's :).

Easter at Buckhead

So aside from almost being trapped in an elevator (we walked out right before the church had a blackout) we got to go to Buckhead Easter service...it was very artistic and definitely utilized the creative people of our church. There was some very cool stuff. This was the final song. A giant image of Jesus was painted throughout the service (it took an hour) then on the last set there was a drumline and two people came in destroyed the face of Jesus to reveal a cross. Well I have to say thanks! To all those that gave me their valuable input.... I am eternally grateful. Last night was the record. He slept from 10pm to 04:30. YES, that was 6 1/2 hours. I am a new woman. He is getting so excited because Jude is at a very fun phase right now. James stayed home with him yesterday and snapped this picture. He is reaching and grabbing for things now..... at least he knows what he wants.

So I'm driving Alyssa to work today and usually I have some song in my head. I for some reason have a shuffle of music that wakes me up in the mornings. I just have a random song playing. It's very weird. Most of the time it's just a popular song on the radio. But this morning was a little different. I found myself humming the theme song to Doogie Howser. For like 15 minutes. Over and over with different arrangements. It's still playing...at least my son likes it. He went right to sleep. Guess Neil knows baby theme songs. What's your favorite tv theme song?

Our son has a umbilical chord hernia. Apparently it's pretty common. At least that's what our ped's keep telling us. It makes a squishing sound like...blowing bubbles in your water when you push it in. It doesn't bother him. He doesn't even react when we touch it...but man it looks weird. If I woke up tomorrow with that...I don't think I'd react quite as calm as he does. I guess it's better than the circumcision he got...now THAT looked painful. So while making potatoes we found this one. It just reminded us of our little tater.
