O Precious Sleep Part 2

Well I have to say thanks! To all those that gave me their valuable input.... I am eternally grateful. Last night was the record. He slept from 10pm to 04:30. YES, that was 6 1/2 hours. I am a new woman. He is getting so excited because Jude is at a very fun phase right now. James stayed home with him yesterday and snapped this picture. He is reaching and grabbing for things now..... at least he knows what he wants.

In your head...

So I'm driving Alyssa to work today and usually I have some song in my head. I for some reason have a shuffle of music that wakes me up in the mornings. I just have a random song playing. It's very weird. Most of the time it's just a popular song on the radio. But this morning was a little different. I found myself humming the theme song to Doogie Howser. For like 15 minutes. Over and over with different arrangements. It's still playing...at least my son likes it. He went right to sleep. Guess Neil knows baby theme songs. What's your favorite tv theme song?

I am still feeling a little under the weather. Last Sunday I got a little GI bug and it is still hanging around. Working tomorrow..... we shall see how I feel tomorrow night :/.

Our son has a umbilical chord hernia. Apparently it's pretty common. At least that's what our ped's keep telling us. It makes a squishing sound like...blowing bubbles in your water when you push it in. It doesn't bother him. He doesn't even react when we touch it...but man it looks weird. If I woke up tomorrow with that...I don't think I'd react quite as calm as he does. I guess it's better than the circumcision he got...now THAT looked painful. So while making potatoes we found this one. It just reminded us of our little tater.

Exciting night

We started out the night with a little chatty chat with Uncle Eddie and James' tall friend, Josh. Than it was time to begin our new night time routine with a nice relaxing bath. Then this happened ...

So we went to Plan B. Mom boiled the clean cold water and we did bath time in the sink. Jude didn't really mind :)

Still Not Sleeping On His Own

O Precious sleep, where have you gone

I can't remember when the last time I got a full nights sleep without interruption. When I was pregnant I had to pee every 2 hours and now I have to feed the baby in the middle of the night. Last night he went to bed at 11 and got up to eat at 5:30. I was pretty stoked!! My only problem is that he will not go to sleep on his own. I am open to suggestions. I have tried to lay him down at various times.... wide awake, almost asleep and just asleep. All result in him screaming. I tried to just let him scream and see if he would go to sleep, but after 45 minutes of crying and he just got more and more angry I couldn't take it anymore.
What do you suggest?

I love making video's. Judah's bath time.

So Judah hated...HATED bathtime for about 5 weeks. Then we tried the big tub and he just loves it now. He could be screaming and we put him in there and it's calmer than the sea. So much fun...

Juicy Judah

This is an outfit that Judah's Auntie Evalie got for him. It is newborn size, but when we were taking him home from the hospital it was a little big.

Now that he is 2 1/2 months old it is fitting :).

I love my neighborhood.

So how much fun is our neighborhood...well James found a way to use his snowboard. There aren't really any places around here for him to "carve" anything, so he decided to find a way to make his mark in the neighborhood. X games here we come.

So it's called Hotlanta. We knew it would be muggy and hot during the summers. We also knew there would be seasons. But SNOW???? We didn't think it would get that cold. So today as we get home from church the sky decides to let some frozen rain fall. And it's coming down pretty good. There's a blanket layer that hopefully will keep falling so that we can make a snowman later...we'll keep you posted.
